80CRV2

80CrV2 is a high – carbon steel known for its excellent properties and balance of toughness and strength . It’s essentially a 1080-type steel with added chromium and vanadium, enhancing its properties. This results in good hardness, wear resistance, and the ability to hold a sharp edge.   Loved by outdoor knife makers for this very reason. Another use for this steel is in the creation of Damascus when used along side 15N20.
